Recently, Jennifer Garner admits being nervous while filming a sex scene with Hugh Jackman for the movie ‘Butter’. “Of course, it was like the first day we worked together,” Garner said during the premiere of ‘Butter’ in Los Angeles. “It’s always like that. It’s always like ‘It’s nice to meet you, now let’s moan and groan.’ I’m such a huge fan of [Jackman’s]. It was so horrifying.”
Butter’s plot is surrounded by the Iowa State Fair butter-carving competition. Garner plays the part of Laura Pickler, a wife who enters the competition when her champion butter-carver husband retires from the ritual event. Jackman plays her ex-boyfriend.
Director Jim Field Smith says Garner’s character is based on Hillary Clinton. “When you start to peel away the layers of the movie, you realize that there’s a lot of political metaphors,” Smith said. “Bill Clinton was this much-loved president, who maybe was not so discreet with his sexual love, and Hillary stood in the shadows very quietly supporting him. After his two terms were up, there was a sense of Hillary saying, ‘My turn now.’ ”
When asked if she sought out any examples of today’s political influencers for the role Garner said, “I didn’t look at the political figures of today at all. As far as the political stuff, you’ll just have to read into that yourself.”
